It also serves as our park office. If the shop/office is closed and you are after accommodation, there is an office buzzer adjacent to the front door of the shop.
Shop Opening Hours
Christmas School Holidays - Open daily from 8.30am to 7pm.
Other School Hols - Please check hours displayed at front of shop or call us on 4478 6072.
Weekends (outside of school hols) - Saturday 8.30 to 5pm and Sunday 8.30 to 11am.
Office Hours
Our office hours are from 8.30am until 8pm. If shop/office is unattended, please push the office buzzer at the front of the shop or find one of our staff in the park.
DVD Hire
We have a DVD player available for hire. Cost is $8 per 24 hr period. We also have a very limited DVD library at $3 per movie.
Surfboard and Surfoplane Hire
Surfoplanes (inflatable mats) and beginner soft-sided surfboards are available for hire or purchase from the office. Great fun!
Email
We have internet service available at the office. If you need to send or receive email outside of shop hours, please discuss with our staff. We do not have plug-in facilities for your own computer.
Fax Service
If you need to send or receive faxes, please contact the office. The park fax number is 02 4478 6872.
Check in Procedure
If the shop/office is closed upon arrival, check our late arrivals board for an envelope with your keys. This is adjacent to the front door of the shop. With your keys will be a map of the park identifying the location of your accommodation. There is also an office buzzer at the shop door if you need us at all or if there is no key left out for you. If the office is closed, please make contact with us the following morning so we can check you in and brief you on some features of the park.


The amenities block is located in the centre of the park. It includes includes showers, basins, toilets and a laundry. Children under the age of 10 MUST be accompanied by an adult whilst in the amenities block.
Access
Access to the amenities block is by key only which is available at the shop for a $10 refundable deposit.
(Possum Cabin 3 has a key on the cabin keys.)
Showers There is a charge of 20c per shower for a period of approximately 3 minutes. Maximum of 2 coins per shower please. Children are not permitted to play in or around the amenities block.
Laundry
Washing machines and driers are available in the amenities block. They are coin operated requiring $1 coins. An ironing board and iron is available from the shop. Pegs are provided in the cottages and cabins.


Fresh water is limited so please do not waste it. Fresh water is only available from the cold water taps in the basins of cottages, cabins and the amenities block or where indicated by signage. Bore water is not suitable for drinking.


Kangaroos and other Native Wildlife
Please note the kangaroos, possums, goannas and other native animals are not domesticated and as such, their behaviour can be unpredictable. At no times are these visitors to our park to be annoyed. Please do not feed the animals as incorrect diet can cause illness.
National Park Entrance Fee
Between the highway and Durras North, you will pass a pay station for the National Park. You do not have to buy an entrance ticket unless you intend to drive to nearby Pebbly Beach or use the NPWS car park at Depot Beach. If you are unsure, just ask us upon arrival.
Parking and Vehicles
There are allocated parking spaces close to all cabins and cottages. We also have space available for boats and trailers during your stay.
Speed Limit
There is a speed limit of 5km/h (walking pace) on all roads within the park. Normal road rules apply in the park.
Bicycles
A bike helmet must be worn whilst riding in the park. Riding of bikes at night is not permitted.
Camping Sites
Please stay within your campsite boundary. If you have a powered site, take special care with your lead. Avoid placing your lead where vehicles may cross or others may trip. No GENERATORS allowed.
Fires and Firewood
Fires must not be lit except in provided fireplaces. Firewood is available from the shop. Large fires are not permitted. Fires must be supervised at all times by the presence of an adult.
Noise
Noise must be kept to a minimum after 10pm each evening. If you are departing early, please remember that others may be trying to rest. Offensive behaviour or rowdy parties will not be tolerated. If you are having visitors, they must leave the park by 10pm or you will be charged an overnight fee.
Dogs
We're pet friendly but... dogs are only allowed in our park under the following conditions:
* The dog must be on a leash or secured at all times;
* Any mess must be cleaned immediately whether this occurs in the park or the village of Durras North;
* No dogs inside the cottages, cabins, amenities block or shop;
* No aggressive or barking dogs;
* If your dog is proving to be a problem, you will be requested to remove it from the park.
* Unless otherwise arranged, only one dog per booking.
* We must be advised in advance if you intend bringing your dog.
Sorry but no dogs allowed during Christmas and Easter holidays.
Please be aware that dogs are not permitted on the beach or in the bush as it is a National Park.
Children
Do not leave your children unsupervised in the park or cabins/cottages. Children under the age of 10 years MUST be accompanied by an adult whilst in the amenities block.
Rubbish
All rubbish to be placed in bins provided around the park and adjacent to the amenities block. Please use yellow lidded bins for recyclable material. At all times, 'Do the Right Thing'.
Fish Cleaning
Please clean them where you catch them. All fish scraps must be wrapped, before placing in the bins.
Smoking
Absolutely no smoking allowed inside any of the cottages, cabins and amenities block. Please dispose of your butts properly.
Risk Warning
The management wishes to warn occupants guests and other persons who engage in any recreational activity, within the meaning of the Civil Liability Act 2002, in, or near the park, that the pursuit of such activities may result in harm or personal injury. All person who engage in a recreational activity do so at their own risk.

Terms and Conditions
Please read through the following terms and conditions which are conditional to making a reservation.
Deposits -
A non refundable 30% deposit must be made to confirm bookings.
Balance of payment -
The full balance of your booking is payable upon arrival and is non refundable in the case of early departure.
Forms of payment -
We accept Visa - Mastercard - Cheques - Money order - Cash. It is also possible to pay by direct deposit.
Cancellations and refunds -
Should you cancel your booking, your deposit will not be refunded or transferred. If you do not arrive on the first day of your booking and have not advised us of an altered arrival date, then the booking will be cancelled with no refunds.
Seasons -
Low season is outside of NSW school holidays.
Shoulder season includes school holidays and NSW and ACT long weekends.
Peak season includes Christmas school holidays and 4 nights at Easter.
Minimum booking periods -
For bookings during Christmas holidays, generally a 7 night minimum unless there are gaps available between other bookings.
Over Easter, a minimum of 4 nights applies.
Long weekends, a minimum of 3 nights.
Weekends, a minimum of 2 nights unless advised.
Age of children -
A child is 2 years and over up to the age of 16 years at the time of visit.
Tariff changes -
We reserve the right to alter tariffs appearing on this website.
Check in-out times -
Check in time for cottages and cabins is 2pm. Check out time is 10am. Late checkouts may be possible. Please enquire during your visit. A late checkout fee may be applicable. For camping, check out time is 11am.
Late arrivals -
Please advise if you are arriving after 8pm so we can make arrangements. For campers, no arrivals after 10pm.
Linen -
Lightweight doonas and pillows are provided for each bed in all cottages and cabins. You do need to bring your own sheets (bottom sheet, top sheet, pillow slip) and towels. Linen hire is available at $8 per set. Towels are for hire at $2 each.
Park guidelines -
Please refer to guidelines above for general conditions of use of the park. These are primarily common sense to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all park users. Management reserves the right to
terminate a booking if park guidelines are not met.
Noise -
For the enjoyment of all guests, we ask that noise be kept to a minimum after 10pm.
Pets -
Pets are allowed but not during Peak Seasons. Please refer above for further information. We must be advised in advance of your pet coming. | |
